Sex, Dating, and Gender during (and since) the Pandemic
Follow-up interviews will resume in Fall 2024.
This research examines how the pandemic has shaped dating culture, sexual norms, and gender dynamics. Between 2021-2024, I interview over 100 people about their dating and relationship experiences, attitudes, and observations.
This project has a longitudinal component, where I have traced the lingering impacts of the pandemic through follow-up interviews.
As I transition into my new role as an Assistant Professor of Sociology at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, I've had to take a break from conducting interviews. I expect to resume interviews sometime during Fall 2024, and I plan to continue following up through 2026.
