About the Interviews
I am interviewing people about their experiences with and observations of dating during (and since) the pandemic. Your current relationship status doesn't matter — if you've been single at any point since 2020, I'd love to hear your story.*
Consider signing up for an interview if you:
are 24-38 years old
have some college experience
lived in the United States during the height of the pandemic (2020-2021)
*Your identity will be kept confidential.
How does it work?
You fill out the form indicating you're interested.
I'll email or text you with a link to a calendar for you to sign up for a time that works for you. You tell me if you want to Zoom, FaceTime, or talk on the phone.
It's totally cool if you change your mind and don't want to participate when I reach out.
The day before the interview, I'll send a confirmation email or text.
When the interview starts, I'll read you a consent statement (linked below) so you know what's up. If you give your verbal consent, we'll proceed.
I'll also ask if it's cool to record the audio (you can say no)
I'll ask you some basic info about yourself and then we'll chat about your dating history and experiences.
Everything remains confidential (you'll get a pseudonym)
The Interview
Interviews are informal and conversational, so you don't need to prepare anything
I will ask you open-ended questions about your recent dating history
You only answer the questions you want to answer
The average interview lasts 60-90 minutes, but the duration really depends on how much time you'd like to give and what you'd like to say
